My name is Kathy Thomas, I have been blessed with the title Family Life Coordinator for the parish. I am trying to make our Family Life Office as open and parish-member friendly as possible. The office is located in the same hallway as the Worship-Evangelization office, across from the new conference room.
Please feel free to stop by and say hello.
Flowers by request at the weekend Masses is handled through the Family Life Office. Please call at least 2 weeks in advance so we can publish your name and intention in the bulletin. The cost is $30 for a beautiful altar arrangement. Due to some special masses or holidays some weekend Masses are not available.
Taking up the Offertory Gifts at the Mass is a special blessing. This could be a special way to help celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Children love participating in the mass! It's such a wonderful way to bring your prayers, intentions and family right up to Jesus at the alter and you'll have reserved seats for your family. We always need families to volunteer to participate in mass by bringing up the offertory gifts. Please call a couple of weeks in advance to reserve your spot.
Pre-Marriage Classes are offered here at our parish. All couples being married in the church are required to take marriage preparation classes. You must contact Father Leo 6 months (or more) before the wedding date.Please remember to pray for all the engaged couples entering the sacrament of marriage this year. Please pray also for the sponsor couples who are taking time from their busy lives to share their own personal experiences to guide and nurture engaged couples .

Baptisms-We have been blessed with a lot of babies being baptized in our parish! Deacon Art is such a blessing! He is so wonderful with the families and babies. You must call him for information about baptisms at the main phone number 887-5364.
New Parishioner Registration
If you would like to register as a new parishioner please call the Family Life Office at 248-889-0634 to set up a time that is convenient for you.
New Parishioner Dinner was held February 14, 2009 following 5 pm Mass. It was such a blessed fun time for all those who attended. Thank you to all those that served,cooked and cleaned up afterward. A specail thanks to the ladies from the Women's Club working so hard to make this an inviting and welcoming event. Thank you Father Leo and Jan for extending the hand of Christ welcoming our new parishioners.
The Vocations Chalice is available for parishioners to take home for one week to pray for vocations as a family. Singles, empty-nesters, young couples, retired couples and widows are all part of our parish family! Please sign up in the narthex to take the chalice home and help pray for those discerning a vocation in religious life.
July14th is the Holy Stroller Derby at 11am. We will meet out front and process in with all the bikes, trikes, buggys, wagons and families. There will be a short worship service, a small obstical course and PBJ sandwiches for lunch. Parents, grandparents, Aunts and Uncles are invited and bring all the kids newborn to 12 years old along for a fun time at Holy Spirit.

Mother / Daughter Programs and
Father/ Son Program- God's Plan for Growing Up was lots of fun as
always. The speakers for the girls and boys programs are Spirit filled.
A special thanks to Laura Jennings, Angela McMath and all the girls of the panel.
Huge thanks to Scott Weikel, Dr. Frank Schell and Gary Schell for speaking at
the boys program. It's always nice to have young men and ladies involved.
